When you go into a court, you have the option of speaking with the DA before you give a plea. You should definitely try this if nothing else. My experience is that if you ahve a clean driving record the DA will many times jsut "throw out" the ticket with the contingency that you get NO other tickets in the next 12 months. Also, it has been my experience that the DA is MUCH more willing to listen to what you avhe to say and you might not have to deal with the drivel of busy state employess that are being payed minimuim wage. If, after you deal with the DA and he/she didnt help any, you can file your plea as not guilty. They will set a trail date for you and that is when you can move on to the next step of the waging war process. Not much point in busting your ass TOO much before that though.
